The opposite of happiness is not unhappiness. It’s Boredom!

Although Project Managers generally get to experience new and exciting projects on a regular basis, even they have to contend with stuff that needs doing but that is not the most inspiring – a little like mowing grass I always say. I did it once, I know I can do it and now I don’t want to do it anymore. But if it doesn’t get done pretty soon things are out of control.

So the trick is to prioritise, to delegate if possible (without shirking your duty and morals), but certainly to find new and innovative ways of doing the same old same old. I think you’ll find that by doing this you can bring interest to even the most mundane of tasks.

It’s never about the end result. The joy lies in the process.
